About Us

#TeamOA. Here at Optimal Adventures we are a family run business based in the heart of Lake District, including a base in Manchester.  We like to do crazy, out-there things with our time on this planet – nuts challenges, expeditions, events etc. But we now want to start getting more people doing meaningful things also, we want to include you on the journey and get you creating memories in the best places the UK and World has to offer – that is what OA is all about.

The aim is to set out on a mission to show people what lies virtually on your front door step within nature. Together, we have a plethora of experience and a wealth of knowledge behind us from our past expeditions and adventures that have spanned the world over visiting various different continents. We now feel its time to show other people what’s out there to be accomplished. We aim to challenge our clients physically and mentally so they can push through barriers they may not have thought possible before whilst enjoying every passing minute.

Our team takes inspiration from people like Ranulph Fiennes, Bear Grylls and other great explorers past and present who paved the way for further exploration. They created curiosity within the worlds most awe-inspiring natural features. We also take huge inspiration from anyone willing to challenge themselves, get outdoors and see the world in its natural form. You guys light a fire under us here at OA to keep continue doing what we are doing everyday – to keep providing new expeditions, events, courses & challenges for anyone that is willing to potentially leave their comfort zone and take on a new direction or people who are already involved in the outdoors looking for variation.
